The Trailblazer Is a Volunteer's Best Friend!
Updated: Oct 21, 2020
Hey there, Girl Scout volunteer!
We are so excited to officially announce the move from our monthly volunteer newsletter to our weekly volunteer blog posts.
While we tried our best to make these monthly newsletters the most reliable and useful resource for our volunteers, the truth of the matter is: there were many quirks stopping us from giving you our all.
Things we're excited about:
Timeliness— With the help of the blog, we'll be able to give our volunteers the information you need, when you need it. While our plan is to give you weekly content every Wednesday, we can always give you more should exciting opportunities or news come up!
Resources— Anything from "how to host a virtual troop meeting" to "making the most of Girl Scout Cookie season during a pandemic". We want to be your one-stop-shop for anything you might need or want. Have ideas? Send our way!
Voices— While our staff is well-versed and highly-educated in all things Girl Scouts, we understand that perspective is key. We encourage volunteers and experts to submit stories, how-to's, etc. to our Marketing and Communications department so that we can share that with our readers on the blog. We welcome different backgrounds, expertise-levels, experiences, and more!
We look forward to this new and exciting way to interact with our volunteers! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Gaby Salazar, Communications Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to help answer those!
